  1. Long ago the people were fully grown when they wore shoes, They generally wore them at mass and whenever else they were at the Church,
    A certain woman lived in Knockmore called Mary Warton. It is believed that this woman was never seen wearing a shoe, Even so she lived to be very old,
    Mary Glynn who lived in Agaha died lately. This woman used have her shoes folded in a handkerchief going to mass, She used put them on outside the church but when mass was over she used put them on again. This was the only time she used wear shoes, except in frosty weather,
    The men used wear one shoe when they used be working in the gardens, so that they would be able to put their legs on the trettle. When the men used come in from work at night a large tub of hot water used be ready for them to wash their feet. This feet water used be always put out, if not, fairies would haunt the house. The water should not be splashed
