Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The descendants and people of Eogan were called Eoganacht. The name was also attached to their territories.
    They had their chief seat at Cashel near where Tipperary stood.
    The district included Solohead, Donohill, Donaskeagh and Greenane. Greenane was described as the Greenanoght.
    The onoght as vanished and the district is called Greenane.
    Very curious remains of a little settlement survive near Greenane to the east of Friarsfield House.
    This house is now owned by Manseragh. A shallow lake seems to have been formed along the edge of which includes circular and square mounds. It is said that there was once a little church on one of the mounds. On another there are traces of a circular stone building.
    A large rath indicates that the place had a population once.
    This was probably the colony attached to the Grianán if not the Grianán itself
