- Sometimes on the horizon there is a long cloud which is called "Wind Dog". If it points East or West it will be bad weather but if it points North or South it will be fine.
The high clouds that are called "Cirrus" tell of a change. It is easy to know them as they are streaked and some old people call them "Mares Tail". These clouds are a sign of rain of they are moving.
A mackerel sky is the sign of fine weather.
