  1. A man named James Dwyer of Chalkhill often carried a plough on his back from Shanahan's farm to his own. a distance of about half-a-mile. He used to do the same with a harrow. This James Dwyer is a strong man yet though he is over sixty years of age.
    Tim Burke walked along the top of the castle to fix a flag which was hung out when any great people were coming to the castle. He is alive to-day and is over eighty years of age. He lives in Knockdaigeen.
    John Ryan Clonohan lifted an anvil in Kenny's forge. He died in 1933. R.I.P.
    Pat Lynch jumped from one pier to the other at the gate into Gilmartin's of Curragheenduff[?].
