    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Small mud cabins thatched with rushes + in some of them there was no chimney. The smoke then came out the door. There was no bedroom in many of them. There was a bed in the kitchen. It was placed at wall opposite fireplace. The chimney was made of clay + wattles. Half-doors are seldom seen today. They were common formerly. Turf & timber was used as firing. Dried cow-dung was also burnt, this was called Boherawn.
    Floors were made of mud or paved.
    Rush - light was used for giving light.
    Candles were not made locally
