    "The wren the wren the king of all birds,
    St. Stephen's Day get caught in the furze
    Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
    Give us a penny to bury the wren".
    On St. John's Ever the people light bonfires. They light furze or bushes. On St. Stephen's Day there is no machinery used in this district/
    On Christmas Ever the children hang up their stockings.
