The markets then were held in the East Square or in the Green. There are not any markets held in the town now a day.
On the market days the huckster and the dealer in feathers and bottles would go to the square and sell their goods there. When a person would give a bottle or a bag of feathers to the dealer, he would give them a toy in exchange. It is not carried on now as there is not any market at present.
