Mac Eniry lived in Great House where Conyes lives afterwards and which still stands.

Got this (16) from my father Cornelius Bresnahan who had it from old people.
16 MacEniry lived in Great House where Conyes lived afterwards and which still stands. Probably had soldiers as tradition states that one of the family, when going up to give battle to Cromwell's soldiers, was killed by his horse at a place now called "The Church Cross" so called from the old Abbey in the local graveyard.
Intime of Cromwell the castle was shelled from height about 300 yards away
