  1. Some years ago a strange incident happened between Carrigaloe and Rushbrooke at a place called Teine Glaise. At the present day only the well remains but at that time there was a tank which was being filled by a large pipe from the well. A man by the name of Landry was employed to pump the water. It was there that ships needing fresh water came for supplies. In a near by cottage a Mr. Kidney, who kept fowl, lived.
