Buckleys were the right owner of the fort which could be seen in the County Ornance Map. But the owner does not like to interfere with it, or he does not plant crops in the field.
In Boula fort there was a tree where was supposed to be a "Crock of Gold". One night a man working in Macknamara's farm went to dig under the tree for the gold, when suddenly the tree started beating him, and he had to get away as quick as possible or he would be killed, he had to remain in bed for the remainder of his life.
One night the boys of the neighbourhood began to play ball in the fort field. They got so interested in the game that they played until long after midnight, suddenly the ball was taken from them and they hard it burst, and great shouts of laughter(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
