- Preshockweed (Prísceachbuidhe) or Cornkale is a weed growing in the farm which is very harmful because is destroys the corn and because it spredds rapidly. Dogroots, Cockleroots and Thistles are also very distructive weeds. Dogroots and thistle grow only where the land is good.
The dandelion is supposed to cure rheumatism. First the dandelion is picked and the yellow flower is taken off and boiled. Then it is strained and the person then drinks or rubs the juice of dandelion.
Penny leaves are a cure for warts.
