Then they used all sit around the table. They had dip and they might have a small bit of meat hanging down over the table. Every person should tip the meat with the potato. Two people ate from one plate. No knives or forks were used.
Certain foods were used on certain occasions. They used a goose on Christmas Day. They used pork also but they did not buy it. They killed a pig themselves.
The people ate pancakes on Shrove Tuesday night.
Long ago they also boiled nettles and people used make soup from dandelion.
When the people were finished they broke the potatoes up peeled them and made a pandy for the children.
The people were delighted to have Summer come long ago. On the first of May they used light a bone fire and they had great sport around it.
