Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Wells are amongst the oldest relics existing of Ancient Ireland. Wells and Twisted Snakes were associated with Druid Worship from very early times.
    About 1/4 mile from the town on the eastern side is St Fanahan's Well. It is approached by a raised walk bordered by trees. At the end of the walk is a stream crossed by means of a bridge.
    The well is circular with large stones edging it. These stones are used as kneelers by people making "Their Rounds".
    On 25th November large crowds visit the well make their rounds, take a drink of water and earnestly look for
