Martin was the last. When he saw th beggar he tore his cloak in two and drop one half on the naked shoulders of the beggar. Then he rode on as fast as he could and overtook his companions. They laughed and jeered at him abut his half-cloak. Martin did not mind but rode on.
That night he had a vision. He saw Our Lord Himself and it was made known to him that the beggar was Our Lord Himself. Martin was converted and died a saint.
