  1. Travellers visit the district mostly about the annual Fair which is the largest in Ireland. There are camps along the road side for a week before. These people are known to us as gipsies fortune- tellers and horse dealers. People come from all parts of Ireland and other countries. Horse dealers come from Belgium, England and France still, but not so plentifully as they used to come. Long ago the roads were thronged for weeks before the principal animals being horses, cattle and sheep
