(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a hollow in the shape of a knee, and tradition tells us that this is the imprint of Saint Patrick's knee. A custom of the pilgrims some time ago was to place their knee in the hollow of the stone after doing the station.
- Bouglis is a cure for boils.
Sulphur is used for rash.
Linseed and rib grass were used as poultices for running sores.
The thorn of a gooseberry bush was used for a whitlow. You would pull ten thorns, point nine at the whitlow, and throw away one.
Sweet oil and sulphure were used as a cure for ringworm in cattle.
