    There are many customs attached to cross-roads.
    Bon-fires are lit at the Cross-roads on bon-fire night.
    If you pass a crossroads on Sunday you will see crowds of young men talking on playing "pitch and toss" on the road. Formerly the young men and girls use to dance at the crossroads on Sundays evenings.
    The Co Council repair the public roads, the men who work with carts get nine shillings a day wages and men working with shovels get five shillings.
    The Relief work repairs the Bye- roads all roads are repaired every two or three years.
