Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)at every meal. On Easter Sunday they used to eat eggs and boxty. Tea was first introduced in my district roughly about sixty years ago. The people used to eat their eggs with wooden spoons.
- In olden times bread was made from wheat, corn, and oats grown locally. People remember of querns being used for grinding oats and wheat. Flour was made locally but the people don't remember it so well. Boxty, oat bread, and potato cake were made and eaten as well as the former kinds of bread.
In making boxty people used to have a piece of tin with holes in it to make it rough for grating the potatoes. The potatoes were grated and then the grated potatoes was put in a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
