    The following little verse is said by the old people around the Oak School Area near Portlaoighise in County Laoighise about the days of the week so here it is:-
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for losses
    Friday for Crosses
    And Saturday no day at all.
    People say if you get Married in May you will regret the day
    My mother told me that when people are changing from one house to another they aways change on a Friday because Friday is the luckiest day of the week.
