  1. St. Fintan who is the patron Saint of Raheen parish founded his monastery in Clonenagh. There are many stories telling why saint Fintan founded it in this place.
    One evening when St. Fintan was kneeling saying his prayers among the rocks, he looked up, and saw an angel hovering in the sky, over Clonenagh where he afterwards founded his monastery. The angel was singing. Saint Fintan told his friends about what he had seen, and they told
