- The name of the townland in which I live is Lecarrow in the half-parish of Clooncraff in the Barony of Ballintubber North.
There are four families in the townland two of the houses are thatched and the other two slated. There are seventeen people living in it at the present time. In former years there were fifty-two living in the townland before what they call the bad times. There are several tracks of old houses in the vicinity. There are a number of ruins on the strand of Kilglass lake called Seán bhaile. There were fifty houses in it. Long ago some of the people were evicted out of it and others left after the famine.
There are several fields called by Irish names. One of which was called Crann na Sídhe(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
