    "Threer". His name was Hannon and he was a very fervent Catholic until his son died. Then he fell away from the church and never attended Mass or the Sacraments. Whenever the parish priest escaped from the English, he always visited Hannon and did every thing in his power to bring him back to God, but it was all to no avail. Still the priest had confidence and prayed daily for his conversion. Sometime afterwards the priest was captured and murdered. On that very evening Hannon went to confession for the first time for forty years. Ever afterwards he was a devoted and pious Catholic and never missed mass. He also sheltered the clergy when pursued by the English.
