    and the anniversary of passing Lá Bealtaine, he is to be seen riding over the hills on a white horse. His spirit is not supposed to rest until the last stone of Ardea Castle is removed.
    In 1641 Rununci the Papal Legate landed at Ardea and was entertained in the Castle. He passed on to Ardtully Castle, (through Inbhear Scéine and the Roughty River) the residence of Finian McCarthy Mór.
