    cruel. If the people had not their rent on the day they wanted them to have it they would be put out of their homes and maybe put in another person in their place. This happened about twenty years ago.
    Lord Rossmore was a landlord and Lord Leslie was another and Lord Hope too. Lord Rossmore always rode on horseback. He was very fond of hunting and taking part in large horse races. Lord Hope was shot in the house of Commons because he would not consent to the passing of a bill.
