  1. In a small lough called Greagh Lough there lived wild water-horses. About seven years ago these horses were seen. At twelve o'clock at night the horses used to go out and feed around the banks of the lough. They never went any further than a couple of perches from the bank. One night a few of the oldest men in the parish decided to go to some hillside near the lough and watch them.
