    In Monaghan it is said that he appears in the day-time as a little old man with a wrinkled countenance. in an antiquated dress. His red green coat is adorned with large buttons and he seems to take a particular delight in large metal shoe-buckles.
    He wears a cocked hat. He is never met in company but always alone. He possesses a knowledge of hidden treasures but does not disclose their whereelants till, he is pressed to the utmost. He seats himself under a bush on a low wooden
