- One night long ago when a man was coming from a hunt with a crowd of hounds after hurting he was very dry and there was a well beside the road. He and his hounds went into this well to take a drink out of it. Since that time the hounds' tracks are to be seen there, and the track of the man's hands and knees are to be seen there yet on the stones round it. The jaundice can be cured at that well. The place where this can be seen is at Stonebridge.
In the townland of Tatten-clove behind Kelly's there is a stream of water running. It can cure the mumps by crossing it three times and you would be cured.- Bailitheoir
