- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)they are boiled with milk and sugar. The patient then drinks the milk. The roots of young nettles are used in the same manner as a cure for "chicken pox"
Some of these weeds are used for food for animals such as the nettle and the forawn. The nettle is boiled in water and is then strained out on a basket keeping the nettles there. When they cool they are cut and mixed with potatoes and milk and meal and then it is given to the pigs and it is an excellent good food-stuff.
This is how the gorawn is used. When it is pulled it is cut up very thinly and put in on a pot of boiling Indian gruel, and mixed up and down until they are mixed well together, and then it is given with milk to the pigs.
