- The following was composed by Tommy Lavin, Coolboy. He went to the town one day and got drunk. The guards asked him his name and he could not tell them. He was brought to the Court and the Judge asked him his name. He composed a rhyme and said to the Judge.
"My cot is but an humble om
Of scallops, staw and thatch.
If land be squared and lives be spared
I might receive a patch.
My daily life is humble
With shovel, spade and loy
And my name is Tommy Lavin
From Evergreen Coolboy.
He is still living in Coolboy.Tommy Lavin, The Blacksmith
