First the lime-stones are quarried with a "cro-bar". The rock from which the lime stone is taken is first broken into two or three parts then it is broken into four or five other parts and brought as far as the lime-kiln where it is broken into pieces about three inches long and two inches wide. The stones are placed even in the kiln so that they can all burn and according as the stones are being taken out in the bottom the over head stones fall down and as they fall down more are put in their places so that the kiln is always full.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
