    If you put a mankeeper on your tongue it is said you will cure a burn by licking the burn with your tongue. Food left behind by a ferret is said to cure whooping cough. The seventh son or daughter can cure ringworm. When that person was an infant a worm was put on its hand and left there until it died. That person can cure ringworm by making the sign of the cross and putting his hand on the sore. This cure is applied on Monday and Thursday.
