  1. On the 6th of January 1839 at 9.30 p.m. the big wind rose.
    There was a lot of damage done. Rocks were uprooted and roofs were swept off houses.
    About twenty years ago there was frost and snow that lasted for six weeks. It commenced on the twelfth Day.
