    scenes were often witnessed. Nowadays the fair is put back until the day after the holiday and so the holiday is kept in a more holier fashion.
    Hair is cut on Good Friday according to an ancient belief, there will be no pain in the head for a twelve months. Another Good Friday belief is that it is unlucky to shed blood or wood should not be burned on Good Friday.
    On Easter Sunday morning people in this district rise from their beds before sunrise and go to any neighbouring hill to see the sun jump three times.
