- There are many valuable herbs to be found growing on the land, namely,the speed-well the cranes bill,the dandelion, the broom, the pansy and the eye-bright . The speed -well is used for the jaundice and is known to have cured many people. This herb is to be found in pastures and on banks . It blooms in Spring and in early Summer and it has a blue flower. To cure the jaundice this plant must be picked , the roots taken off it and put the leaves to draw by the fire . When it is hot it must be taken up and left there until it is luke -warm , and then drink it. The dandelion(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
