- There was once upon a time a boy who was very poor he lived with his mother beside a hill in a little house. When the boy was about six years of age his mother used to send him to school. When he was going to school for some time he began to steal little things from his pals. When he had grown to be a big boy he happened to fall into bad company. He started to steal money and valuable things. At last he was found out, and he was put to jail and sentenced to death. When the day came that he was to be hung he asked one more minute to speak to his mother and he went to whisper into her ear and she fell dead.
