- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The foregoing poems "Frank the Batchelor" and "Sweet Sarah Kate and I" were composed by a man named Frank Johnston. He lived alone, and had a very hoarse voice. He lived on the Benbow mountain road. His farm is owned by his sister Lizzie who still lives in the district. About 10 years ago he got sick in the night and fell into the fire, and got burned. He was brought to Manorhamilton Hospital, where he died. During his life time it is said he had saved about £200.

Scutcher and Friel, I wish they were stoved
The very first day they went blasting the cove
