    boys go around dressed in costumes and collect money at the houses. They have a melodeon or a mouth organ to supply music, and when they visit the houses they dance.
    Before entering the houses they sing the following verse.
    The wren, the wren the King of all birds
    St Stephen's Day he was caught in the furze
    Although he is small his family is great
    Rise up landlady and give us a treat.
    The money that is collected is spent by having a party in the district for the wren boys and their friends.
    On the Eve of the Epiphany, "Little Christmas", there are twelve small candles lighted in honour of the Coming of the Gentiles.
