Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Castleknock derived its name, because old people say there was a castle on the hill (Cnoc).
    Ashtown was so called because at one time Lord Ashe lived there. He owned much of the land round about. He had no heirs and when he died he left the land to the local people. They then called the place Ashtown in memory of him.
    Porterstown derives its name from a man who lived there whose name was Porter. He owned much of the land and he went to America and never returned.
    Sally Gardens. In olden times Sallies grew here and they were cut and brought in to the market and sold to make baskets.
    Abbotstown. There was here an old
