- Most marriages take place before Lent and advent. It is not lucky to get married on Friday or Saturday. If you get married on Friday you will have crosses. If you get married on Saturday you will have no luck. Matches are still made in the district. It is not lucky for a priest to make a match nor it is not lucky for a woman to make a match. Money is often given to the bride and sometimes a beast is given.
There is always a feast when people are getting married. The feast is always held in the bride’s home. Straw boys are not the custom at marriage feasts.
