They make a fire by the roadside and cook their food which they usually get from the local shops. These "tinkers" usually travel in families.
There is still another class of "travelling folk" called "gipsies". They deal mostly in basket ware which they make themselves also beautiful rod chairs. The women make lace which they sell from house to house. The women also profess to tell your fortune and at every door you would hear them ask, "Lady, let me cross your hand with silver".
