Ar an leathanach seo

People had wooden spades long ago. There are none of those spades now. At the present day spades are bought in the shops.
In order to sow potatoes the farmer ploughs the land and makes it fine. He cuts the eyes out of the potatoes and leaves them there until they dry. Then he gets his spade and sows the potatoes. When the stalks rise about seven inches over the land the farmer sprays them with blue-stone. Each family sows their own crop.
When the potatoes are grown the farmer digs them out and puts them in a pit.
The pit is made about seven yards long.
