Some time ago, the people used spend the fortnight preceding the marriage in feeding their horses for that day.
On the way home after the marriages there was always a race to see who would reach the house of the couple first. Great rivalry existed concerning these races.
At the party given that night, the buacaillí luige used come to the house looking for drink, and if they were refused they did some mischief.
