    the mill would die before sunrise. The man heard of that and he got a flail that weighed one ton fifteen hundred and he went to sleep in the mill. During the night a man with horns came up to him and he hit the man with the flail and broke one of his horns. The man immediately said he would not do anything to him if he would let him alone. Then the man returned to the farmer's house and the farmer became very much afraid of him when he saw that he had returned. The farmer gave him a letter and told him to give it to his father who was in hell. He walked for four thousand miles until he met a man and he asked him where was hell and he showed him the first gate. He went up to the first gate and broke it in bits with the flail and he went to the second gate and broke it and he smashed all the
