“Once upon a time there lived a woman with her two sons and one daughter.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)was coming home from visiting. The moon was shining very brightly. He heard a noise, he listened, and he heard the noise again. He thought of the Leprechaun, and he looked down, and there was a Leprechaun busily mending shoes. He was so busy that he did not take any notice of the boy. The boy thought the little cobbler was a funny little fellow, because he wore a red cap on the top of his head, and a leather apron tied around his waist.
The boy stretched out his hand, and caught the little fellow apron, hammer, and all. The poor little fellow began to squeal very loudly. The boy never minded that but keep his eyes on him, for fear he might disappear. “Oh you cross little fellow” said the boy. “I have caught you and you must tell me where I can find a crock of gold.” The poor little fellow began to(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
