    he has a few stories about the sea and ships. He is known as Captain Murphy.
    There are some old ruins of houses in the townland. The mud wall of an old house are to be seen on the Cross of Broadway. There is another ruin in the middle of the village. It is not known how this townland got its name but its Irish name is An Ghráinseach.
