    Long ago children got a fever called the groop and what they did was to get a gander and let the gander breathe into the childs mouth and that will cure it.
    Long ago when Country people were not used to being shaved by a barber they shaved themselves nearly always and when the barber shaved them they got a thing called barer's itch and how they cured it was they picked a plant called "Robin of the Hedge" and they boiled it and they used drink the juice and that cured them.
    If you go to Saint Sinan's well in Banemore the Saturday before the first of May and say five rosaries that will cure any disease that is in the family.
