  1. (i) Prayer said at night:
Here I lay me down to sleep
And on my bed four angels keep
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless this bed that I lie on.
    The Lord be the breath
    The Lady be the flower
    God will be my friend
    At my dying hour.
    Another version is
There are four corners on my bed
There are four angels at my head
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless me on the bed I lie on.
And if I die before I wake
To God I give my soul to take.
    Petiton
O Sacred Heart of Jesus I have asked Thee for many favours but I plead for this one. Take it. Place it in your open Broken Heart and when the Eternal Father sees it covered with a mantle of His Most Precious Blood He will not refuse it.
