  1. Churning .
    Long ago the old people had a custom to churn once a week.It was generally on a Wednesday they churned.They had not all the conveniences that are nowadays.
    First they set the the milk in pans.and skimmed the cream off it. When they had that done they churned it.The churn they used then was was a dash churn.It was in the shape of a barrel.It was worked by a staff and cup.
    It was the custom of the old people if a person came into the house when a churn was making he should make a
