  1. Long ago there was a lot of customs practiced in this locality. Some of these are:- When a person gets his or her hair cut that person would never burn his hair but he would stick it in a wall because it was that, that person have to come back for the hair when he dies. If a woman was churning and if a man came into where she was churning she would make him take a hand at that churning for fear he would take the butter. He would not be let to take a red sod out of the fire either for fear he would take the butter. When a person is selling things that person has always to get a luck penny for luck. On May Eve people stick "Quickbane" for fear that the fairies would take the land. Nobody redens the clay on May Day. Long ago people used to drive their cattle across "Bowriver" on May Day in doing this
