  1. In East Knockbride there is a lake called the Church lake. There is a chest of gold in the middle of it and an animal like a cat sitting on the top of it. And it said that ten white horses without a black hair would bring it to the shore. Long ago people got the ten white horses and got them attached to it by a chain and they and they brought the chest to the top of the water. The chain broke and down went the chest again. When they examined the horses one horse had a black hair. And there is remains since.
